Our History
GP SOLAR HAS HAD 13 YEARS OF SUCCESSFUL GROWTH WITH TECHNOLOGICAL DEVELOPMENTS AND SEVERAL INDUSTRIAL PROJECTS

Our company’s history is driven by direct contact to research, in-house technological development, and close cooperation with the industry and our partners. This approach is reflected in the milestones we have reached so far and will be a central topic in future projects.

Chronology

2013

100% subsidiary of ISRA VISION AG

2012

Relocation of GP Headquarters. GP Solar is now in the Solar Innovation Center in Konstanz.

2011

Our new product line GP Solar Inspect CHROME is ready for innovative processes (such as selective emitters and back-side contacts) and guarantees the highest degree of measurement accuracy.

We launch the new product brand >GP Solar Materials< and put consumables for texturing and metallization processes on the market

2010

Our new thin film inspection systems ensure efficient and future-oriented process controls through systematic recording and analysis of overall quality

We launch software solutions for processing of measuring data in PV production, which significantly support reaching Global Quality Standards

2009

Successful certification of GP Solar according to DIN EN ISO 9001

2008

Our new >Module Technology< division once again demonstrates our expertise as a technology leader (transferred to centrotherm photovoltaics AG in 2010)

GP Solar becomes a full member of the centrotherm photovoltaics group

R&D Center and subsidiary GP Inspect are founded in Munich; successful market launch of our new >GP Solar Inspect< systems

2005

Subsidiary SOLMIC GmbH is founded to support silicon extraction and silicon wafer production (renamed centrotherm SiTec GmbH and integrated into the centrotherm photovoltaics group in 2008)

2004

We offer extensive technical support for metallization processes and printing pastes together with our partner Monocrystal (formerly Analog)

2003

In our new characterization division, we develop leading process and quality systems for the PV industry together with ICOS Vision Systems NV (cooperation until September 2008) and Semilab.

Our competence in the sphere of wet-chemical processing arises from a promising collaboration with RENA

2000

Start of successful cooperation with systems manufacturer centrotherm photovoltaics AG and the University of Constance

1999

GP Solar is established with the aim to realize a successful transfer of technologie in the PV industry
