Situation
Fingers and bus bars that later conduct electricity are applied to solar cells during the metallization process. Checking the quality of the metal grid on a solar cell identifies more than just defective solar cells. The grid’s condition provides information about the cause of defect. GP PRINT-Q .Cam carefully checks print quality in solar cells. The GP PRINT-Q FS .Cam system for checking the solar cell’s front face ensures solid process monitoring, while one
GP PRINT-Q RS .Cam for each printing step does the same for the cell's back face.
Principle
- Optical inspection system
- Stop measurement
Advantages
- Immediate feedback in case of process changes
- Central recipe management and “copy-exact” process
- Simple and fast calibration option
- Constant calibration control

User Interface
GP PRINT-Q .Cam checks print quality on the front and back sides of solar cells. A flexible classification option with the copy exact function also makes it possible to ensure a global quality standard independent of individual production facilities. Furthermore, the automated calibration control (ACC) option monitors the calibration status of the measuring system in every measurement cycle.
