GP PRINT-Q FS / RS .Cam
Inline optical inspection system for print quality inspection and process control
overview

Situation

Fingers and bus bars that later conduct electricity are applied to solar cells during the metallization process. Checking the quality of the metal grid on a solar cell identifies more than just defective solar cells. The grid’s condition provides information about the cause of defect. GP PRINT-Q .Cam carefully checks print quality in solar cells. The GP PRINT-Q FS .Cam system for checking the solar cell’s front face ensures solid process monitoring, while one
GP PRINT-Q RS .Cam for each printing step does the same for the cell's back face.

Principle

  • Optical inspection system
  • Stop measurement

Advantages

  • Immediate feedback in case of process changes
  • Central recipe management and “copy-exact” process
  • Simple and fast calibration option
  • Constant calibration control

User Interface

GP PRINT-Q .Cam checks print quality on the front and back sides of solar cells. A flexible classification option with the copy exact function also makes it possible to ensure a global quality standard independent of individual production facilities. Furthermore, the automated calibration control (ACC) option monitors the calibration status of the measuring system in every measurement cycle.
