Situation
The decisive characteristic essential to a solar cell is its output. A precise loss analysis can identify unexploited potential, which is one of the cornerstones of process optimization and troubleshooting. To do this, however, a clear understanding of cell behavior is indispensable. The GP SUN-TEST is an innovative Sun simulator that carefully measures the current-voltage characteristic of solar cells, which it uses to determine values for open current voltage, short-circuit current, fill factor, and efficiency, as well as precisely derive other values, such as parallel and series resistance. By determining all of these values, this instrument helps greatly to understand cell behavior and identify improvement potential.
